The Knappstein winemaking team is dedicated to a 'distinguished vineyards' philosophy. Our pioneering spirit has seen us acquire some of the best vineyards in the Clare Valley, allowing us full management control from pruning to picking and everything in between.

Our long-term commitment to these sites has forged the company's reputation as one of Australia's leading premium Riesling wineries.

Attention to detail and a stringent quality focus are at the heart of our winemaking approach. We continue to evolve the way we handle our wine and the way we farm our grapes. There is a steady move towards organic viticulture and a more medium-bodied, fruit-driven style through the lens of diligent careful guardianship.

We have introduced our contemporary Insider range to allow us to flex our creative muscle. The range currently comprises a Riesling with texture, interest and weight and a Shiraz Malbec with calculated use of whole bunch fermentation.

Both wines stand with pride alongside our highly acclaimed Single Vineyard series of Riesling, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon that showcase the very best of each vintage in its purity.

Our perennially popular and approachable Clare Valley range aims to show some of the best value wines in their class.
